Sector 01 · Railway

Everything inside the coach, from a single supplier.

Margon designs, manufactures, pre-assembles and installs the assemblies that make up the interior of a rail vehicle, and the metal structure that supports them. Four lines of work within the same company and the same plants.

Context image. Not a vehicle manufactured by Margon.

A single point of contact for the complete interior

Margon's rail work is not organised around individual parts, but around assemblies: what reaches the customer's workshop arrives pre-assembled, inspected and ready to install. Design, engineering, manufacturing, assembly and after-sales are handled within the same company, which is what allows Margon to take responsibility for the whole assembly and not just one part of it.

  • Assemblies, not parts

Elements are pre-assembled in the plant and delivered as a complete system, to reduce work on the vehicle.

  • Metal and wood under one roof

Structure and lining are resolved together, not as two separate supplies that have to meet at the end.

  • From drawing to vehicle

Our own teams travel to the customer's workshop when the project requires it, until the assembly is installed.

Four areas of activity

Each line has its own workshop, its own team and its own process. They can be contracted separately or as a single scope.

01

Margon Interiors

Design, manufacture, integration and installation of the elements that make up the interior of rail vehicles.

This is the line that handles the passenger saloon as a whole: ceilings, luggage racks, linings, partitions, doors and floors reach the vehicle as pre-assembled units, with the lighting, passages and access panels already built into the part itself. The scope can extend to mechanical and electrical installation on the coach.

Core capabilities

  • Central and side ceilings
  • Luggage racks and their lighting
  • Sidewall linings and window surrounds
  • Partitions, screens and end walls
  • Saloon, cab and entrance doors
  • Floors and skirting
Finished PRM toilet module, with washbasin, WC, mirrors and red grab rails.

02

Margon Toilets

Design and manufacture of rail toilet modules, including universal and PRM solutions adapted to the requirements of each project.

The module is delivered as a closed unit: structure, interior lining, sanitary assembly, hardware and electrical installation completed and tested in the plant before dispatch. Configurations are adapted to the vehicle and to the specification of each project.

Core capabilities

  • Complete toilet modules
  • Modules for persons with reduced mobility
  • Sanitary assemblies
  • Doors and hardware
  • Module electrical installation
  • Watertightness and testing in the plant

03

Margon Metal

Manufacture, machining, welding and assembly of metal components and structures for rail projects.

It is the structural basis of everything else and also a line that works in its own right: cutting, bending, punching, welding and CNC machining in our own plant, for frames, cabinets, brackets and welded assemblies. What leaves this line reaches assembly already dimensionally verified.

Core capabilities

  • Frames, equipment boxes and brackets
  • Welded structures
  • Cabinets and enclosures
  • CNC machining
  • Cutting, bending and punching
  • Welded assemblies

04

Margon Wood

Manufacture, machining, lining and pre-assembly of elements for rail interiors.

It works on the visible side of the interior: boards, linings, tables and furniture, machined and veneered on a technical substrate and pre-assembled before reaching the vehicle. Because it shares a plant with the metal shop, the part and its support are resolved as one, not as two separate supplies.

Core capabilities

  • Machined boards
  • Linings and panels
  • Tables and interior furniture
  • Pre-assembled floors
  • Veneering and finishes
  • Unit pre-assembly
